Privacy Policy
Overview
Octadroid Labs ("we", "our", or "us") built Causality — Puzzle as a free mobile game. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our app.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users, including children. This app is directed at a general audience and may be used by children under 13.
Information We Collect
We do not directly collect personal information. However, the third-party services we use may collect certain data automatically:
- Device identifiers (e.g. advertising ID, device model, OS version)
- Usage data (e.g. session length, in-app events, feature interactions)
- Crash and diagnostic data (e.g. stack traces, app state at time of crash)
- IP address (used to infer approximate location)
Third-Party Services
Google AdMob
We use AdMob to display advertisements. Because this app may be used by children, we serve only non-personalized ads and have configured AdMob accordingly. AdMob may still collect certain non-personal technical data for fraud prevention and ad delivery.
Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the app (e.g. which levels are played, session frequency). Data is aggregated and not linked to personally identifiable information.
Firebase Crashlytics
We use Crashlytics to receive crash reports and improve app stability. Crash reports include device state and stack traces but do not include personal information.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
We take children's privacy seriously. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our ad configuration requests non-personalized ads only, ensuring compliance with COPPA and Google's Families Policy.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us at octadroid2026@gmail.com and we will take steps to remove that information.
Data Retention & Security
We do not store user data on our own servers. Data collected by third-party services is governed by their respective retention policies. We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable laws, including the right to access, correct, or delete data held about you. Since we do not directly hold your data, requests should be directed to the relevant third-party services. You may also contact us and we will assist where possible.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
